Talk:Main PageFrom Mikomos
[edit] Maps suggestionsMikomos is working on integrating maps to make it easier to find mikomos. Any suggestions for what the maps should look like and where they should be placed are more than welcome. --Tosfos 22:21, June 30, 2008 (EDT) It seems that currently, it is only possible to view the map with mikomos of one state at a time. But there are mikomos that are near the border of two states, like NY and NJ, and I think there should be a way to view all the mikomos in a certain area. Maybe have a map that includes all mikomos, and you can zoom in to the area you want. —Preceding comment added by 24.199.84.214 (talk • contribs)

Was this on purpose? --Cdo 13:29, March 28, 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Auto showIt's over. Time to take it down. :(. Up with the Yankees and Mets? Or Baseball in general?--Cdo 13:14, April 1, 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Adding MikomosI still encounter a problem that when I add a Makom, firstly the count doesn't change until I refresh it, and secondly, the Makom doesn't even show under the state. --Cdo 13:22, April 1, 2008 (EDT)
[edit] OoooppsThe last time I checked, the Brooklyn Cyclones didn't have both a major and minor league team, and the NY Rangers played hockey. --Cdo 20:56, April 10, 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Makom namewebmaster how do i change a makom's name after creation? thought of better title...
[edit] Scam alertThis guy has been going around midtown Manhattan over the past several months on SUNDAY nights. His basic story seems to be that he's just come in from London and needs to get to Philadelphia. However, he lost his jacket (perhaps in a cab), and has no money, id, etc. He first just asks for phone numbers for people who can help him out (sometimes claiming he's already spoken to some organizations such as Chabad), and thens asks if you can help him, not necessarily with money (pehaps just phone numbers). Eventually you feel convinced he's truly in need of help and offer money(or he may ask if you don't offer). He's about 5'6", with a medium build, has dark curly hair, and wears a yarmulke. —Preceding comment added by 68.196.191.89 (talk • contribs) 13:17, October 13, 2008 Here's some additional info: I've come in2 contact w/ this guy 3 times. Please note that he operates on all nights and usually, but not exclusivly,in the time square vicinity. Also, he's been scamming people 4 at least 3 yrs. Many times he mentions Cherry Hill and asks 4 $$$ for a bus.Recently he asks 4 info on where he can sleep. He can't b trusted and should not b directed 2 any private homes. He likes 2 target dates and SOMETIMES speaks w/ a british accent. Please note that his story may vary and he's real smooth so b careful. —Preceding comment added by Maven (talk • contribs) 03:19, November 10, 2008 (EST) wow! I cant believe it! This is exactly what happened to me when I was on a date right outside of My Most Favorite Food. We really believed his story and had pity on him, my date even gave him money for a bus. —Preceding comment added by 67.85.86.195 (talk • contribs) 22:44, December 4, 2008 i also ran into this guy outside My Most Favorite Food. my date was going to offer him $ but she had none (good thing too because if she gave i would also have to give and that date was expensive enough as it was) I figured he was a scammer but his accent is very good maybe next time i will give him a dollar for the great accent —Preceding comment added by 96.250.146.145 (talk • contribs) February 12, 2009
